Tamara Maccherini, appointed new Head of Sales at Leone Alato

Starting today, the wine industry expert will lead sales efforts for both domestic and international markets.

Loncon di Annone Veneto, 18 June 2024. Leone Alato, the agri-food holding of Gruppo Generali, has restructured its Sales division with the appointment of Tamara Maccherini as Head of Sales. A seasoned professional with extensive experience in the wine industry, Maccherini will lead the newly established Sales department at the company's headquarters in Loncon di Annone Veneto.

Tamara Maccherini will be the head of the newly established Sales division, instrumental in driving both national and international wine sales. She will be reporting directly to Leone Alato’s CEO, Igor Boccardo.

Tamara Maccherini, originally from Tuscany with a background in the humanities, began her career in Montalcino (Siena) as Hospitality Manager for Donatella Cinelli Colombini’s estate. She then moved on to become the Sales Director at Tenuta Fanti, still in Montalcino, and later took on the same role at the Italian Canadian winery Tolaini in Chianti classico.

Since 2018, Maccherini has served as Sales Director at Tasca d’Almerita, overseeing both the Italian and international markets.
